Die Architekturführung durch das MONTBLANC HAUS gibt bisher nicht öffentliche Einblicke in die gestalterischen Details und die innovative Konzeption des außergewöhnlichen Gebäudes am Hellgrundweg, das von Nieto/Sobejano Arquitectos, dem renommierten Architekturbüro aus Berlin und Madrid, entworfen wurde. Bei der Führung blicken wir auf die Außenfassade und Konstruktion, entdecken eigentlich nicht-öffentlich besuchbare Teile des MONTBLANC HAUS und werfen darüber hinaus die Frage auf, inwiefern die Bedeutung des handgeschriebenen und der Architektur bis heute zusammenhängen.

Essen und Getränke (außer Babynahrung und Wasserflaschen) dürfen nicht in die Ausstellungssäle mitgenommen werden.

Eine Handtasche mit unverzichtbaren persönlichen Gegenständen darf pro Person mitgeführt werden, wenn sie das Format A4 nicht überschreitet und vor dem Körper getragen wird, um Beschädigungen an unseren Exponaten zu vermeiden.

Vor oder nach der Führung können Sie mit Ihrem Ticket im MONTBLANC HAUS und der INSPIRE WRITING Ausstellung während der Öffnungszeiten so lange verweilen, wie Sie möchten – eine Stärkung und Getränke finden Sie in unserem Bistro 149 im Erdgeschoss.

Inspiration begins in the Writing Atelier

Writing has so many more facets than just putting letters in the right order. In our Writing Atelier, we therefore introduce interested individuals to the art of writing. Calligraphy, hand lettering, creative writing, and more. Book your course here and unleash the potential of your own handwriting with a Montblanc.

Brush Lettering

Brush lettering is the art of modern calligraphy with a brush. It offers a wonderful way to beautifully design favourite quotes, create handmade greeting cards, fill a notebook with beautiful headings, and much more!

All course materials as well as refreshments with drinks and snacks are included in the price.

Before and after the course, you are welcome to spend time at MONTBLANC HAUS during opening hours and also visit the exhibition with your ticket – you can find refreshments in our Bistro 149 on the ground floor.

Martina Johanna Janssen has been passionate about painting, drawing, and creative work since childhood. In 2014, during a semester abroad in Amsterdam, she discovered hand lettering. Fascinated by the art of beautiful letters, she quickly began her own attempts. Her enthusiasm for the art of lettering never left her, and so hand lettering has become her great passion. She has been sharing her enthusiasm and knowledge in her lettering workshops since 2018.

Immerse yourself in our brandhistory in the permanent exhibition INSPIRE WRITING, discover the craftsmanship behind the writing instruments created exclusively in Hamburg, and put pen to paper yourself at various writing stations. Children aged 6 to 12 can explore the INSPIRE WRITING exhibition in a playful way with a quiz rally.

In the temporary exhibition WORDS & VOYAGES, we invite you on a journey of discovery: Learn through inspiring stories and interactive experiences how inseparably travel and writing are connected.

Important Information:

• An audio guide with additional information about the permanent exhibition is included in the ticket price. It is available in German and English, and can easily be accessed on your personal smartphone. Rental devices with headphones are available at the reception desk against a deposit.
• Food and drinks (except for baby food and water bottles) are not permitted in the exhibition halls.
• One handbag (maximum size A4) may be carried per person.
• Once admitted, your ticket is valid for the entire day within opening hours.
• For refreshments, you will find Bistro 149 on the ground floor.
• All floors are fully barrier-free/accessible.
• Evening tickets for free admission to "Long Thursday" are valid from 6:00 PM onwards.

LATE NIGHT THURSDAY AT MONTBLANC HAUS

Every first Thursday of the month is Long Thursday at MONTBLANC HAUS, meaning: We are open extended hours until 9 p.m. From 6-9 p.m., admission to the INSPIRE WRITING exhibition is free, and there is a varied program that creates new inspiration every month. The MONTBLANC HAUS Boutique and the attached Bistro 149 by Kitchen Guerilla are also open until 9 p.m.

Das Schreiben hat so viel mehr Facetten, als nur Buchstaben in die richtige Reihenfolge zu bringen. In unserem Writing Atelier stellen wir daher Interessierten die Kunst des Schreibens vor. Kalligrafie, Handlettering, Kreatives Schreiben und mehr. Buchen Sie hier Ihren Kurs und entfalten Sie mit einem Montblanc das Potenzial Ihrer eigenen Handschrift.

Verfeinere Deine Handschrift 

Erfahren Sie in diesem zweieinhalbstündigen Kurs mehr über die Grundlagen einer ästhetischen Handschrift und entfachen Sie die Freude an Ihren eigenen Schriftstücken neu. Neben dem Üben ganz klassischer Schreibschriften, erstellen wir ein ganz individuelles Alphabet, das auf Ihre Schreibgewohnheiten und Bedürfnisse abgestimmt ist.

Alle Kursmaterialien sowie eine Verpflegung mit Getränken und Snacks sind im Preis inbegriffen.

Die Kalligrafiekünstlerin und Autorin Jeannette Mokosch lebt in der Lüneburger Heide und hat ihre Leidenschaft 2016 zum Beruf gemacht. Neben Kursen, Online-Workshops und Designaufträgen liebt sie mutmachende Worte, die sich auch in ihren Produkten widerspiegeln.

The Writing Atelier is the creative heart of MONTBLANC HAUS. It offers calligraphy or handlettering classes to turn your handwriting into an art form and creativity coaching to find new ideas effectively. The classes of the writing atelier can be booked for individuals, as exclusive group courses, or as a special gift.

Pointed Pen Calligraphy

Learn more about the technique of modern calligraphy in this two-and-a-half-hour course and put your words on paper with the pointed nib together with calligraphy artist Jeannette Mokosch.

All course materials, snacks and drinks  are included.

Calligraphy artist and author Jeannette Mokosch lives near Hamburg and  turned her passion for writing into a career in 2016. In addition to courses, online workshops and design commissions, she loves encouraging words, which are reflected in her entire work.
