Die Architekturführung durch das MONTBLANC HAUS gibt bisher nicht öffentliche Einblicke in die gestalterischen Details und die innovative Konzeption des außergewöhnlichen Gebäudes am Hellgrundweg, das von Nieto/Sobejano Arquitectos, dem renommierten Architekturbüro aus Berlin und Madrid, entworfen wurde. Bei der Führung blicken wir auf die Außenfassade und Konstruktion, entdecken eigentlich nicht-öffentlich besuchbare Teile des MONTBLANC HAUS und werfen darüber hinaus die Frage auf, inwiefern die Bedeutung des handgeschriebenen und der Architektur bis heute zusammenhängen.

Essen und Getränke (außer Babynahrung und Wasserflaschen) dürfen nicht in die Ausstellungssäle mitgenommen werden.

Eine Handtasche mit unverzichtbaren persönlichen Gegenständen darf pro Person mitgeführt werden, wenn sie das Format A4 nicht überschreitet und vor dem Körper getragen wird, um Beschädigungen an unseren Exponaten zu vermeiden.

Vor oder nach der Führung können Sie mit Ihrem Ticket im MONTBLANC HAUS und der INSPIRE WRITING Ausstellung während der Öffnungszeiten so lange verweilen, wie Sie möchten – eine Stärkung und Getränke finden Sie in unserem Bistro 149 im Erdgeschoss.

Inspiration begins in the Writing Atelier

Writing has so many more facets than just putting letters in the right order. In our Writing Atelier, we therefore introduce interested individuals to the art of writing. Calligraphy, hand lettering, creative writing, and more. Book your course here and unleash the potential of your own handwriting with a Montblanc.

Brush Lettering

Brush lettering is the art of modern calligraphy with a brush. It offers a wonderful way to beautifully design favourite quotes, create handmade greeting cards, fill a notebook with beautiful headings, and much more!

All course materials as well as refreshments with drinks and snacks are included in the price.

Before and after the course, you are welcome to spend time at MONTBLANC HAUS during opening hours and also visit the exhibition with your ticket – you can find refreshments in our Bistro 149 on the ground floor.

Martina Johanna Janssen has been passionate about painting, drawing, and creative work since childhood. In 2014, during a semester abroad in Amsterdam, she discovered hand lettering. Fascinated by the art of beautiful letters, she quickly began her own attempts. Her enthusiasm for the art of lettering never left her, and so hand lettering has become her great passion. She has been sharing her enthusiasm and knowledge in her lettering workshops since 2018.

Discover the permanent exhibition INSPIRE WRITING. The audio guide is available in German and English - easily accessible on your private smartphone. You can also borrow an audio device and headphones at the reception for a deposit.

The MONTBLANC HAUS exhibition is accessible from Tuesday till Friday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and opens on Saturdays from 11 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. It is barrier-free on all levels (last entry at 5:00 p.m.).

In addition, we offer extended opening hours on the first Thursday of every month (except public holidays) until 9 pm. Evening tickets are valid from 18:00.

Food and drink (except baby food and bottled water) may not be taken into the exhibition halls.

A handbag with essential personal items may be carried per person if it does not exceed A4 format and is worn in front of the body to avoid damage to our exhibits.

After you have entered the exhibition within your selected time slot, you can stay within the MONTBLANC HAUS premises as long as you like - on the ground floor next to the Dome you will find the Bistro 149, where you can enjoy our range of snacks, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks.

Please note that, for security reasons, children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the manufacturing facility.

LATE NIGHT THURSDAY AT MONTBLANC HAUS

Every first Thursday of the month is Long Thursday at MONTBLANC HAUS, meaning: We are open extended hours until 9 p.m. From 6-9 p.m., admission to the INSPIRE WRITING exhibition is free, and there is a varied program that creates new inspiration every month. The MONTBLANC HAUS Boutique and the attached Bistro 149 by Kitchen Guerilla are also open until 9 p.m.

Verfeinere Deine Handschrift 

Erfahren Sie in diesem zweieinhalbstündigen Kurs mehr über die Grundlagen einer ästhetischen Handschrift und entfachen Sie die Freude an Ihren eigenen Schriftstücken neu. Neben dem Üben ganz klassischer Schreibschriften, erstellen wir ein ganz individuelles Alphabet, das auf Ihre Schreibgewohnheiten und Bedürfnisse abgestimmt ist.

It offers calligraphy or handlettering classes to turn your handwriting into an art form and creativity coaching to find new ideas effectively. The classes of the writing atelier can be booked for individuals, as exclusive group courses, or as a special gift.

Pointed Pen Calligraphy

Learn more about the technique of modern calligraphy in this two-and-a-half-hour course and put your words on paper with the pointed nib together with calligraphy artist Jeannette Mokosch.

All course materials, snacks and drinks  are included.

Calligraphy artist and author Jeannette Mokosch lives near Hamburg and  turned her passion for writing into a career in 2016. In addition to courses, online workshops and design commissions, she loves encouraging words, which are reflected in her entire work.

Martina Johanna Janssen begeistert sich seit dem Kindesalter für das Malen, Zeichnen und das kreative Arbeiten. 2014 stieß sie dann während eines Auslandssemesters in Amsterdam auf das Handlettering. Fasziniert von der Kunst der schönen Buchstaben machte sie schnell eigene Versuche. Die Begeisterung für die Buchstabenkunst ließ sie nicht mehr los, und so ist das Handlettering ihre große Leidenschaft geworden. Ihre Begeisterung und ihr Wissen teilt sie seit 2018 in ihren Lettering-Workshops.
